THE CENTRE FOR STUDIES IN MATTER, MIND, AND MEANING
Centre for Studies in Matter, Mind, and Meaning is an independent scholarly initiative whose research informs and inspires the works published by Three Roses Publishing.
Operating outside traditional academic structures, the Centre explores fundamental questions at the intersection of consciousness studies, ontology, and Islamic philosophy, integrating empirical, rational, and contemplative approaches to knowledge.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Hakim Ibn Adam (حكيم ابن آدم: ḥakīm, sage or physician; Ibn Adam, son of Adam, everyman) is the pen name chosen to honour the philosophical traditions of the Near East.
The author is a physician with training in cellular and molecular biology who spent over thirty years studying the cell. His writing emerges from the tension between two intellectual lineages: Western scientific mechanism and the metaphysical traditions of the East. The result is a body of work that challenges the boundaries between matter and mind, exile and belonging, the measurable and the mysterious.
Readers drawn to metaphysics, the literature of ideas, and the dialogue between science and spirituality will find a rare synthesis here.
